If you put a search in the tips box you will find a lot of threads about this. I believe Peter posted a list of the programs all tested by the magazine Your Family Tree and Family Tree 2005 came out top. Available pcworld and amazon.

Hi Sylvie Family Historian by Calico Pie is brilliant. There is even a free website where you can post queries. You can buy it from Amazon as well! Cheers Jenny

I have a friend who is just starting out and has asked if I know of a good software programme. I use the LDS software but has anyone got tips for someone just starting out please Sylvie
