Dont panic! To erase a partner, go to the view of the couple and click on people at the top of the page. This allows you to delete people. If you look down the list it also allows you to attach or detach children from one spouse to another. I take it you have the one child on a diff page on its own? You can always go to people, delete him/her then go back and add them on the right list. By the way, if you go to people you can see a fix relationship option and also sort children option. If you click on the sort children you can put them in order of age.

So thrilled yesterday to receive Family Tree Maker 2005. I have spent all day adding information. I am getting so mixed up I feel like throwing it out the window. I have printed out all the instructions I needed doing everything by the book, step by step but still have one person married to the same man three times and I can not get rid of the marriages. I imported from another GEDCOM and all the information there was correct. Can someone please help and explain how I can erase marriages I do not need. Also another problem I find seven out of eight children have the parents and the eigth child doenot and then I have to start all over again adding the parents and everything gets mixed up I am in a terrible state of affairs at the moment and think I am going to have to start from scratch again. I know I am doing something very wrong but what. Any advise would be gratefully appreciated. Thank you. Elizabeth
