I have two deaths, in Registration districts Surrey SE and Surrey NE. Could someone please tell me which areas these cover? TIA Peter

Some of the old districts included under SE & Ne Surrey at the 1934 almalgamation are listed here http://www.fhsc.org.uk/genuki/REG/sry.htm dave

I've looked there, they give East Surrey as a district, but my entries specifically say Surrey North East and Surrey South East, so I need to be more specific. The family were in Croyden and Richmond - where would they come under? Peter

Croydon Created 1st July 1837. Sub-districts : Croydon; Mitcham GRO volumes : IV (1837-51); 2a (1852-1930). Addington, Beddington, Coulsdon, Croydon, Merton, Mitcham, Morden, Penge, Sanderstead, Wallington, Woodmansterne. Registers now divided between Croydon, Bromley, East Surrey, Merton and Sutton districts. Richmond Created 1st July 1837. Sub-districts : Mortlake; Richmond GRO volumes : IV (1837-51); 2a (1852-1930). Barnes, Kew, Mortlake, North Sheen, Petersham, Richmond. Registers now in Richmond upon Thames district. Kath. x
