Today, after about 8 years of searching (with a break in the middle), my g grandparents marriage certificate turned up. I now have her fathers name! They had 7 children, first born in 1878 last in 1892, she was married before he was a bachelor. They married in 1926 she is shown as widow, (the first hubby died in 1910, he appears to have been a bigamist), she was 67 when she got married, my g grandfather was 72!!!.............They are living at the address that is shown on their death certificates and where my father used to visit them! Witnesses mean nothing they are no family connections to tmy knowledge (probably people on the street at the time), the y got married at the lcoal registry office under the Superintendants certificate. Who'd have thought it, that I would find a marriage some 4 years after their first child was born! Jayne
