Am Iseeing things.I was checking for a marriage of the above and many of the dates were up to 1970s.Thought must mean 1870s so a mistake. But some of the dates were 1920s.As there were no civil regs. in 1820s what does this mean.Does anyone have any idea. |

Hi Margaret Ancestry civil reg is the same database as FreeBMD. Whilst they are concentrating on the dates 1837-1910, there are a few records for later dates, right up to 1983. This link gives you the stats, i.e. total number of records transcribed per quarter: http://freebmd.rootsweb(.)com/db-stats.html Maybe you just got lucky and hit on some of the few hundred records that are entered for dates after 1910? My guess is that someone was doing a one-name study of Baggotts, and transcribed all the entries for that name that were on the index, right up to 1983. |
