I quite agree Chris. The message boards are very addictive. I have to have my little fix almost every day, even if it's only five minutes - which soon turns into five hours!!!!. Kath. x

I'd been a member for over 2 years before I started using these boards. Everyone seemed to knowledgeable and experienced that I was terrified of saying and doing the wrong thing but I finally plucked up courage to get involved. Can't get rid of me now! Lou

Hi Amanda It's so nice that you are obviously close to her (that 70 miles probably helps lol). I too found these boards a long while after I started my tree. I am lucky enough to have lots of rellies (dead and alive) on the Isle of Wight. The family history site for the island is brilliant. Really helped me. Have a good weekend Sarah

tomorrow i'm showing my mother-in-law around the site because i'm quite settled in now(all of two weeks!!) like me she has been a member since 2002 but hadn't really realised that thses message boards were so interactive. and that people reply within minutes sometime .We both thought you just put your family tree names in, looked to see if any one could match and then e-mail them and wait! That is what I have done for the last two years. My owm fault i should have read the blurb and fiddled more like i did two weeks ago and opened all these doors. Already I have discovered so much information thanks mainly to you kind people. My moth-in -law and I usually live 70 miles apart me on the Isle of Wight and her in london, so it will be excellent to share our info and chat with each other. She is over here for my little boys birthday tomorrow he's 7 and her little boys birthday(my husband)on Monday so a busy weekend, but Im sure we will manage a few sessions on this site. Thanks again for all of you who go out of your way to help and advise us new uns. thanks amanda
