there were medales for the Korea war. Have you looked for his card. This will get his number and that his Sevice record. Also there is a Korean war vets site some were on line You will have to Googal it as I do not have the Addy. By The 50s regements were getting more regonal (but not totaly) so unless he was in the Sigs or another reg that recruted from all over start with the Middex, Buffs/Queens and other south east regs The Site given above will help a lot

For starters the Gloucesters, (the Glorious Gloucesters) and the Royal Norfolks were two that I know of but there were others. Could be difficult to know which one he was with unless you have any clues. The Middlesex Regiment, Black Watch, Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders were others I remember. There were tank regiments, artillery regiments and about 16 or so battalions on attachment to the infantry regiments. If you have a photo with a cap badge for instance this might help to identify the regiment he served with. Kathleen ps Have found this site which might help - remove brackets. www(.)regiments(.)org/wars/index(.)http

Can anybody help me trace my fathers regiment. He was in the Korean War in the 50's but I can't remember the name, could anybody direct me to the best place to find this. I would really appreciate it. Many thanks, Caz
