Ey up Mike I have it on good authority that you will be able to tell me where Napier Street was in Leicester. My ancestors lived there for years, but I can't find it so I guess it's been pulled down. Are you able to help? Sheila |

Greeting's and Welcome Sheila...... Who's been telling tales out of School then...lol :0)))) If you know Leicester.... Coming up Walnut Street At T junction ( Opposite Tigers Rugby Ground.) Turn left onto Aylestone Road.. Napier Street was the second left Ran down to New Bridge St. It's now under the Car Park for the Leicester Royal Infirmary. and Queen Elizabeth II Medical Block In 1901. Census it came under the Parish of St Andrews. (Formally St. Mary's de Castro Parish) RG 13 3005 / 04 / Pages. 157. ~ 161. I seem to recall it was pulled down some time in the 70's Hopes this helps ?... If you need help get in touch.... I can send you a map of the Street. MIKE. |
