Does anyone know who you report wrongly transcribed entries on Ancestry to? I know they have the wrong birth county for both my ggg and gggg grandfather - both should be Northamptonshire, but have been wrongly described as Hampshire - hence it has taken me weeks to try and track down their birth certs as I was looking in the wrong place as there is a village of the same name in Hampshire, but the original censu - now I've looked property definitely says Nthts. Trudy at the minute they only do name corrections - but the info does read like they'll eventually do all info if you click on the persons name and get up their record in the top right hand corner is a link to 'comments and corrections' click on that and it takes you to a page with any alternate names added and you can view the corrections thats been submitted. Unfortunately the corections wont be searchable so its no use adding in there any other incorrect info theres also an option to add a comment to a persons file (I'm not sure if these are searchable) but it may be worth finding the people in a different census and adding a comment alng the lines of 'can be found in 1891 census with wrong birthplace - search for:........' search for Oscar Simpson aged 3 born Barnet in the 1891 census and you can look at the correction I did for my gt grandad

Actually Zoe I have recently noticed that they have a little red cross icon next to names that I have told them are wrong. If you click on it it comes up 'Alternative Name' and gives the corrected one.
