how do i find the parents (sheffield and rotherham

thanks maud will look into the igi first if not then i will have to look and the parish records. i have never been before i know there is one in sheffield. hopefully they will be able to help me with what i need to look at. not sure what records they keep. thanks for your time hilary

Hi Have you tried searching on the IGI? I found one Henry baptised 14 Dec Sheffield Father John Hawtry mother Hannah There was also a William baptised 28 July Dellington Father Joseph mother Anne Have a look through and see if you can find ones that you think may be the right one You may have to wade through quite a few to find the correct parents, and of course, there is always the possibility the may have moved from Sheffield. The only other method to find the parents is to try and look through the parish records yourself, if you can get to the area, these would be in the local record office If you do not know the web number for IGI let me know and I will send it to you, also address for Record office & Family History Soc for the area

i was wondering somene could help me. i am researching the name dawtry/daughtrey/daughtry from sheffield and rotherham from rotherham THOMAS DAUGHTREY 1814 MARRIED ELIZABETH WEST got inform on a lot of children WILLIAM 1812 MARRIED JANE got some children but no further SAMUEL 1816 MARRIED CATHERINE ELLIS 1821 as thomas from sheffield HENRY DAWTRY 1817 MARRIED ANN 1821 got some children most on wilfred (this is my line) WILLIAM 1816 MARRIED SELINA 1816 most children CHARLES 1820 MARRIED MARGARET only one child no more MARY 1828 nothing JOHN 1813 nothing ELIZA 1818 nothing i dont think they are all brothers and sisters but related somewhere. i was hoping someone may able to help with any information regarding the parents of any of the above people or where i can look to find them. any help would be appreciated regards hilary dawtry from sheffield side.
