Hi Maurice If you get the birth certificate of your mum or dad it will give your gran's maiden name. Then if you get your gran or granddads birth certificates it wil give your great-gran's maiden name. Heather

Maurice To find the maiden name you'll have to locate the marriage and get the certificate unless it's transcribed on freebmd or ancestry. The census shows the household, so it wont give her name before marriage Lou

I have found my great Grand mother & grandmother as married but how to find their maiden names is the question on 1891 * 1901 census only their married names come up?
