Nell, How's the bruise this morning???? Just don't go sitting on any photocopiers - try an ice pack instead! Having read this thread, I now know that we have all seriously lost the plot ... always thought we were a weird bunch! Regs Jane

My ring binders are much tougher than me! But with the nanny state as it is I am surprised that sellotape dispensers, paperclips, paper fasteners and treasury tags aren't properly labelled as hazardous and accompanied with a leaflet in various languages explaining how to use them! nell who is awaiting an interesting bruise!

Stationary, and stationery, similar words, reminds me of an instance where I worked........a Cupboard was labelled Stationary......when pointed out that stationery has an 'E'....was swiftly put down by 'OF course its Stationary!!!....it doesn't Bl**dy move.............does it!!!!

Twinkle You are quite right, Stationery is dangerous, it ought to come with a Government Health Warning. I am in imminent danger of death from a paper cut which has now turned septic and has made my finger swell up something rotten. Whats more, I find my Stationery is very rarely stationary, it leaps and slides all over the place. Dangerous game, this. Marjorie

Stationery manufacturers deliberately make unnecessarily sharp points because all the employees are secret sadists. You haven't lived until you've trodden on the scissors with bare feet. You'll discover a talent for dancing you never knew you had.

Hope you are ok. Trouble is now you've probably bent it out of shape and the papers will decide their own thing and keep jumping out of the rings!!!!! Those little plastic sheets are a b.....r once they get loose!!!!

I hope, for both of you, that the ring thingies were closed when they came into contact with your anatomies!

Er no, Geoff, Scarlett O'Hara said that..what NELL said was the same word I used when I trod on my open binder which was hiding under a mass of essential loose sheets and glided painfully, but very gracefully across the polished floor. Marjorie

Curiously enough, Geoff, that wasn't what I said at all - but I couldn't find the right characters on the keyboard! nell

Don't open them, put them on the sofa and then forget they are there and sit on them. This is very painful! nell, who knew putting her files in order would cause distress!
