How much is a will to order?

Just checked the National Archives site for info. Couldnt find anything about fees. Is it still 5 pound for a copy and it said there was a handling fee as well, any idea how much it is? and it is the York probate address, the wills are after 1900 Im after. |

Yes after 1858 it is from York and the cost is £5. You need to give them the death date and place and as much other info as you can. I believe they will look for a few years after that date but anymore and you have to pay extra. I gave name, date, place and sent a fiver and got the Will back in a couple of weeks. If you google York Probate Office it will give you all the info you need. Good luck. |
