Thanks Marjorie, I will start searching around the Redruth area. Hi Crista I have seen the entry in the 1891 census almost 100% it my family so will keep digging away. cheers ANNABEL

Annabel, In 1891, Walter A was listed as being born in Gloucester. 1901 could be a mistake. It just says Cornwall N K for Annie. N K means not known. Crista.

Hi, could it be Vogue St Day, also sometimes called Vogue Beleath St Day? If so, I would imagine the registration district was Redruth, as St Day is nearer to Redruth than to Truro. (Vogue is/was a hamlet near St Day) I live in Cornwall, BTW. Marjorie.

I can't find any Voge St Day on the Redruth or Cornish parishes pages of Genuki, or in the registration districts of Cornwall. Nothing by googling either, so I think this must be a mistranscription - have you seen the actual image? nell

I would guess it would be Redruth. I only found St Day by luck I was searching for it for you and had no luck so I clicked on Cornwall and happend to zoom in on top of the place.
