I learnt an interesting tip on another thread yesterday. If you nudge a topic up and then go back and delete your message it still takes the topic to the top but you don't end up with lots of nudge messages taking up space (like on the census dates thread). TTFN Kate :)

Hi Kate The trouble with that is, someone will immediately start moaning about the 'Phantom Thread Nudger'. Personally, I am with you - I've stopped reading several threads because they contain pages of nothing but nudges! Marjorie

Hi Marjorie Yes, suppose you're right :) I was thinking of the guidance threads etc, which can be useful for newbies but pages of nudges can't half be irritating. BTW is the Phantom Thread Nudger any relation to the Phantom Flan Flinger (remember him). lol Kate x

If you nudge the same thread more than once, it's not unreasonable to delete your older nudges, though. Christine
