in 1901 i have my g granfather being the youngest at 11 months, with the next youngest at 12 and then the family disappears - never to found on any other census |

lol. But I can't think of a reason why they're missing in 1891 (father was a dock labourer, so i doubt they would have been sailing the seven seas). |

Louise, I found a marriage for James Connell in Jun 1870 which has a Jane Hacking on the same page. Could this be the father of your elusive Joseph? The ref is: Jun 1870, Blackburn, vol: 8e, page: 427 I had a quick look on the censuses for Blackburn but no sign yet. However, if you think it is them, then the certificate could give you an address to help narrow the search. Good luck. Louise |
