I think i get what a thread is but can someone just clarify how they work. i've been reading about people following threads and new threads. Still learning all the lingo and how the message boards work. Sorry to be so dim. Thanks Amanda

Amanda, you have started a thread - and now I am adding a message to your thread. Does that help? Kathleen

Georgina, do threads time out? I was on a thread yesterday and the people answering were really helpful, but it seems to have gone, I have tried my threads on each page but nothing comes up?

anyone can delete their thread at any time. someone might have asked something, got the info they needed then deleted the thread. Only you can delete a thread that you start. Does that help? Ciara - did you start the thread? jess

No someone else did, they were offering to do look ups on the nationalarchivist website and when I went back to look it was gone and I cannot find it anywhere, other people had added to it and found out other bits for me, which I didnt write down!

Fatal error No 1 Ciara! Copy and past everything into word as the thread goes next time, then you have got it all and you can decided what you need of it, Think at one point you were on the same thread as me.What info have you lost? Jess x
