There's a body of anoraks (pardon me: dedicated eccentrics) known as NUTS (National Union of Track Statisticians) and although I think they were formed in the 50's it might be worth trying them. I've been told that my G.G.Grandad (? Abbott) was a fairly successful runner in Lancashire, but after googling for half an hour, i still can't find any resources to check. Can anyone suggest anything? TIA Stuart Woodcock |
