My gg grandmother's surname at death in 1900 was McCroban. Her maiden surname was Lyon and first married name Holmes. She married a Henry? McCroban around 1882 but I cannot find any trace of him or of this surname. I have tried all variations of spelling that I can think of. Does anyone have any suggestions please. |

The death you found is my gg grandmother and the marriage is my g grandmother's marriage to William Anderson. I have looked in the Scottish sites to no avail but have not tried the Irish ones, maybe I should. Thanks. |

There's a small trickle of McRobins on freebmd, but this appears to be a scottish name. |
