Found an ancestors marriage - Correct date,got vol no,page no. When I click to view others on page there's only him there! No-one else on page? Any suggestions please?

Freebmd haven't yet transcribed all entries on the index so the others on the page must start with a different initial and not yet be transcribed.

Where did you find the details? Was it on FreeBMD? It is quite possible that the remaining entries for that page have not yet been transcribed, or that there are discrepancies in the transcription. Paul

It's the same on BMD and Ancestry. Year is June 1860. Anne

One other possibility - the missing entry has been transcribed, but doesn't match up because one part of it (e.g. the page number) wasn't completely legible. Suggestion: try running a marriage search just using the year, quarter, registration district and volume number. (Also put in the missing spouse's first name, if you know it.) If any additional entries are listed, you can check them against the 1837Online image. This doesn't always work, but it's worth a try. Dave
