2012!!!!!!!!I dont know if I can wait that long! In my family I have lots of grandchildren living with my ggg grandparents and want to see if anyone came back to claim them. thanks Ciara

Ciara It's a bit of a pest. We are all waiting patiently for the 1911 census to be released in 2012, hopefully with better transcriptions than the 1901! Freebmd/Ancestry civil reg goes up to about 1910 for births, marriages and deaths. After that, unless you have a family treasure box of certificates, it means trawling through the GRO indexes either in the big books at Family Records Centre, on on microfiche, or paying lots for doing it at 1837online. If you can get to the relevant records office or local history centre/library, you can check out adults on the electoral register (though women under 30 aren't there before 1918 and women under 21 not there till 1928 I think). They may also have been listed in various directories - Kellys, Post Office, etc as private residents, or in the commercial section, depending on their occupation. But of course this doesn't list wives or children. nell

How do I find people after 1901, I have used the census up till now and am unsure how to find people after this date!
