i have been given a family tree stating that one of my ancesters had an illigitimate child in the early 1800s to the then willliam side botham stated to be lord of the manor,mayor of manchester she was listed as his maid miss tate how do i find out anything about him |

Hi Caz It depends what it is you are looking for. Have you found your ancestor on the census? Presumably she was living ar one time in the house of this William Sidebotham. Have you got a birth certificate for the child? this would be worth searching for. If WS was famous then try Googling his name - this is likely to bring up something of interest. Peter |
