i am trying to find my birth mother. My name at birth was david douglas allen i was born on 10/01/70and was adopted in 1980. My adoption tock place in chesterfield. My fathers name was douglas eric allen and i know he was born in london and worked as a taxi driver.

You're birth mother & father were married at the time of your birth then? If so Wendy Allen wouldn't be the name to look for on this site, all women come up with their maiden names. Sam

David, There isn't a David Douglas Allen birth registered in the first quarter of 1970. There are several registered with the name David Allen though.

Hi David, Do you know if your mother had a middle name? there are 141 entries for a marriage for a Wendy Allen from 1984-2002 alone, and she may have remarried between 1980 when you were born and 1984, but even if she has not remarried there are 5 Wendy Allens in the Derbyshire area alone Also there are 2 Douglas E Allens down for the UK, (sorry none down for London though) but there are 152 Doulgas Allen down for the UK if he hasnt entered his middle inital on the elecotoral form.
