For two glorious days the familyrelatives site was working perfectly, it was brilliant. Since yesterday I have been unable to view stored pages or search. Is anyone else having probs. I have mailed them and been told it is a local problem and to clear my temp files - as I have a program that clears these on each boot up in cannot be that - though I have been through the motions. It is such a fantastic facility when it works, but oh why cant they get it sorted.

I been on that site lunch time, but its the first time I've been able to use it without 'time out' since that weekend they had all the problems, mybe we have to take it in turns. Keith

Its such a pity because when it works its great. But I saved about 9 pages to go back to and print and I cant access any of them. Nor can I search now. They have sent me three different passwords now - gawd knows why as I had no prob with the first one. I was told by them to clear all temporary files - I told them i had a program that did that automatically, then they said, oh perhaps its the program SCREAM. If the damn site works for 2 days with no problem and then goes down and then another couple of days and error 500 keeps coming up ITS THEIR END. It is just so frustratig.

Glory be, I can now search and print again but not look at previous records. So I have just bitten the bullet and researched the same 9 pages. If only this could get sorted it will be such a boon, particularly if like me you have a fairly rare name and can bring up every birth death and marriage for them for just 18 credits.

Tammy, do email them and tell them. I have to give it to them, they do answer your mails and I must have sent a couple of dozen now. If you whinge bout it you may be given some freebies like I was. If only I could use them when I want though!

Well I have been on there since about 6pm, and generally dont have any probs. BUT!!! have just searced 1921 marriages for BOWLES - got the result up, first line says 'Barker' to 'Bralower' - so off I go using 2 units to view the image, only to find that the page actually ends at BARLOW!!!! So no Bowles on there then, have emailed a complaint asking for my precious 2 units back LOL..........

Anne From 1921 onwards is free because its not fully transcribed which is why you got zero results. But at least you haven't used any credits! Lou

Lou, I did get results, and I did use units - but the results page was incorrect........ It said the image covered BARKER to BRALOWER (i even printed it off to double check)......... I viewed the image looking for BOWLES, but the image page ended at BARLOW. Line 2 on the results says the image covers BEAL to BRARD, so I expect that is wrong too. For 1921-1983 the search result is free only, 2 units to view the image, so I AM out of pocket, albeit only 2 units, their error! Anne

Ah... I didn't realise you'd viewed the image. I get frustrated enough bringing up a page that has no relevance to the surname I asked for so I never bother with the image! Lou

Just got a reply from them............ 'We aim to correct image or transcription errors in the database these can be reported at the bottom of the Search results page and Image page. Please refer to our Terms and Conditions as we are not obliged to make a refund for errors or omissions. However on this occassion we have decided to refund your account.' Mmm, not too sure about the policy, in other words - 'we'll offer you a service and make you pay for it, but we wont guarantee that you get the service we offer or what you pay for'!!!????

I have to say it is working at the mo and its brilliant. Just went through all my marriages with the spouse surname showing went back and entered details with just surname and brought up their entry with first name. Lovely.
