Hello everyone, I was tracing my Grandfather and wasn`t having much luck with him so I`m concerntrating on his 2nd Wife now. I know she was born at a place for young unmarried mums called hindhead in surrey where she was adopted at 6wks old. Not sure if there is anything there any more but is there any way of finding out to who she was adopted??

Do you have her adopted name, because you might be able to find out when she was adopted in the adoption register but if you don't know the year its a lot of wading. Adoption registers start in 1927. To find her original birth cert you will need her original name. nell
