I have one line going back to 1790 give or take a few years. can not be any more accurate as I know the guy is mine, but can only find one mention of him as father to a known relle, and her age would put him bourn some were in the late 1700

At this stage I would say not far enough, with actual proof 1850 on my mothers side and 1845 on Dad's.

I inherited a tree for one of my husband's lines- went back to 1217. It was a 'landed gentry' type family, so was in the Heralds Visitations. I've added on our bit - but it was not as much fun as doing your own. On the other hand, I haven't got past my paternal grandmother in one of my lines...well, where would YOU start if you had a 'daughter of Patrick and Bridget RYAN', born in Tipperary?

Hi, I have William Manclarke whose will was proven in 1547. His son's will was proven in 1542 and he had adult children so I guess William must have been born in 1490 something, or maybe earlier. Gwynne

Massive brickwall on maternal line to 1820, think they were Irish immigrants but can not prove anything..and not much further back with others around 1790..so I am feeling very envious of you all!!! by the way Janet I noticed your surname Tansley (could be one of the ones I am stuck on) could you help?
