another idea is just use christian name, estimated age and plae of birth

Thanks Louise the surname is White but suppose I could try WHYTE. I have several christian names to choose from and have tried them all! Linda x

same here - type alternate spellings (my Corletts were Colletts) or it could just be their missing like some of my family

I thought it was but am unable to find records I know should be there have them in 1881 1891 1901!
