big oops!! wrong gene's in tree, how do i remove??

This is sometimes why I do a new import of my tree. I find this is a good chance to correct any little errors as well as add new branches. There is a thread on here about people re-importing their trees so that it looks like a lot of new names have been added, but sometimes if the error is very involved and would mean a lot of deleting this is the only way to fix it Sylvia

took me about 3/4 of an hour this afternoon somehow i had my ggran as my grandads wife and also had her as my other ggrandads wife but i got there in the end kaz

It depends where you have put the wrong entry. If there are no children, then you should be able to simply delete it by clicking on the name, and then click delete. If there are children, you will have to delete them first, and then delete the wron entry. Paul

can anybody help me, iv'e made a big mistake and need to erase 2 genes. where do i start doing this and how?? thanks to those who reply. lynn
