Hi, Very new here and trying to research my family who mostly originated in Kettering and Northampton. Boot making was a family trade. Someone told me that there might be a bootmakers gulid or something similar that my ancestors may have been listed with. Any one know whether this might be true, or is it all cobblers (geddit?) And where could I find a list of people in this trade? Any advice much appreciated, Claire

Claire, use a google search, try all variations of the info you want. Also there are historical directories on line.
