The other day I was browsing through the Tips board and the Records Office board and I don't remember which one this was on it was a reply that I'm interested in to a Query about finding the person who somebody married by putting in the grooms name and then the brides names would come up but I don't know who posted original question or the reply I had in my mind it might have been Jess but still couldn't find this reply can some one remember it or the person who replyed please cheers Laraine

Hi Dee , no that doesn't ring a bell I think it was about the fact that the person couldn't find who??? somebody married, a lot of people replied giving people that they looked up but then somebody said on ??? site you just put in the groom and you will get all the men of that name who married in that year and their partners names will come up and I didnt need that info at the time and now I do and can't fi nd Thanks for trying to help Dee Love Larainex

Perhaps you were thinking of freebmd. If you find the groom, click on the page number of the ref and a list of other people marrying that day that place comes up?

HI Lara . If you search for a marriage after 1912 in the grooms name then the brides maiden name is also listed.(on the microfich) I think I mentioned this in one of my recent messages.....rambling on , as usual!! lol Ann ps: this also works visa versa.........put in maiden name of bride + you get grooms name.........pity it's only after 1912!!
