Yep, first few times I looked at films I nearly threw up! I can now manage about three hours, the trick is to flick your eyes away from the screen when the film is moving, also frequent "stops" and deliberately looking at something else in the distance helps, I find. Hi the first time I tried I felt the same way but the trick is to wind very slowly while you are looking and if you need to wind fast dont look till you stop. this works for me also limit the time you spend on the readers I only spend 1 hr at a time. Keep trying and work out whats best for you Maureen

I've just tried to view a film from Suffolk at my local family history centre. I just couldn't do it - it made me feel sick - anyone else feel like that when viewing the film - feels like motion sickness as the film rolls over while you are looking at it. I had to put the film back in the drawer and forget about it. Christine
