I AM TRYING TO FIND EMMA GREVILLE,SHE IS ON 1871,1881 AND1901 CENSUS AS THE WIFE OF GEORGE WHITE,HER BIRTHPLACE WAS GIVEN AS CHELTENHAM,BUT I CANNOT FIND ANY TRACE OF HER BIRTH IN CHELTENHAM.THE ONLY EMMA GREVILLE WAS BORN IN HEREFORD IN 1841,THE DATE SEEMS ABOUT RIGHT.I HAVE A COPY OF HER SON,HENRY'S BIRTHCERTIFICATE AND HER MAIDEN NAME WAS GIVEN AS GREAVILLE,AGAIN NO TRACE.I ALSO CANNOT FIND THEM ON 1891 CENSUS.I HAVE FOUND A DEATH FOR EMMA WHITE IN CHELTENHAM IN 1918,THAT SOUNDS ABOUT RIGHT TOO FROM FAMILY GOSSIP,BUT I CANNOT FIND HER FAMILY OR MARRIAGE,COULD ANYONE COME UP WITH IDEAS PLEASE.I DON'T LIVE NEAR TO CHELTENHAM/HEREFORD TO VISIT THE RECORD OFFICES,SO ANY HELP WOULD BE VERY MUCH APPRECIATED.

Might be worth sending for the marriage cert ...asking in her name and giving the ref. Crista found. Can probably e mail the records office.....and in my experience they are very good and only send the cert. if it matches your info. Then you might find her on the 1851 or 1861 census from the same office. Good luck and hats off to Crista for her clever searching...I love a hunt too! Joan
