Medical Records- where do they go????????

I did find an advice guide a while ago for doctors saying that they should keep them for about 15 years and that whether they then destroyed them or kept them longer was their choice. nell |

If you mean hospital Records, they are only kept for a certain number of years. Can't remember off the top of my head, but l do know Obstetric Records are only kept for 25 years and then destroyed |

Hi, i think they just go back to your local medical records office, they are in the phone book, give them a ring and they will tell you for sure, Lynne |

I never thought about this until my uncle mentioned it to me. We are trying to find out about my G Gran, but not having much luck. We wondered where her records would be and whether we could look at them. |
