Where were our gallant lads fighting at this time, specifically the Royal Light Militia (which became the Marines)? My history is not brilliant, sorry. My ancestor is missing from the census at these times but shows up later as a pensoner so obviously fought and survived, lucky chap.

Just found this site www.onwar.*com/aced/nation/uni/uk/findex.htm remove * it lists all wars in the 1800s that the UK were involved in
