I have a William Buxton, according to census and IGI born about 1828 in Henton, Somerset which is near Wookey. As I can't find a birth record for him can anyone come up with any helpful suggestions?

Hallo Helen. I think you will have to pay a visit to/request a lookup from the Somerset Records Office. There won't be a birth record as civil registration didn't come in until 1837. nell

Thanks for replying, Nell, that's why I need the suggestions!!! :))) Also I'm not sure if Henton is a different place to Hinton, which I would love to find out. And of course if any of these records are available online as I'm checking this out for a friend.
