How do I find someone that seems to have vanished?

Hi I am trying to locate Alun Pain born 1937 in Bangor, he seems to have literally vanished, his family members have no contact at all, I really have to find him, any ideas?

Are you sure he is still alive? If so, you could look in the records board for someone offering electoral role lookups. Sam
