Joan - thanks. Yes I did try Records but didnt get any response, hence putting it on here. Info helpful, thanks, will give it a go :O) Anne

Anne, have you put this on the Records office board? Or, records offices will do census lookups, often for only the cost of two stamps and a photocopy....you could put Berkshire Records Office in your search engine and see what's on offer. Good luck Joan

Looking for GEORGE (FREDERICK) BOWLES b.1821 Wanborough/Wantage Berks. Parents WILLIAM b.c1801 and MARY b.c1801 both born and married in Wantage. George worked as an Agricultural Labourer, married 1844 and moved to Bampton Oxford - where I have him on every other Census upto his death. Any help appreciated as always :O)
