Hello, My grandmother died in 1946 in what was then the West London Hospital. Iwould like to get a copy of her medical notes but don't know where to start. Does any kind soul have any idea? Thanks

Hello Natalie I tried to obtain both my parents medical records but was told they are only kept for 15 years, even then they will only release specific information to your GP who at their discretion may or may not give you any info. Brian

Nat Archives have a hospital records section. Just add . . /hospital records. . to the normal web address or go throu site index

If you look on the National Archives website you will see details of the Wellcome Trust. This gives details of where the records of hospitals are kept though I found it was out of date when I looked up one hospital. MB
