You can go to the free(.)grisoft(.)com site or simply Google AVG7 free download and that will take you there. On the left there are some links - one says something like Get free AVG, click. Go down the page and there is the download for AVG7 It is in orange text and underlined. Just click, save, and it will download. Then click open. Choose the option to update by internet. Then run a scan thru just to see if it finds anything. If you dont like the program, uninstall and go back to whatever you have now. If it does find something and you want to keep it, uninstall the program you have running that didnt find a virus.

Ann Thats sounds like you may have the Bagle virus, it gets into your mails and does weird and wonderful things with it. Have you got AVG7? You can download it free from grisoft and run it through your pc. I download and ran it through after I had run my paid for Mcafee virus scan and AVG found 2 trojans and a virus that Mcafee hadnt.

Yesterday I received a returned e-mail..which I hadn't sent. I ALSO received a spam one from myself!.which I obviously hadn't sent..is this a glitch or have i got a virus or am i being hacked? I am not technical but i downloaded DJVUE to read the info on 1837 etc.............i did get a warning but as I was desperate for info decided to go ahead. I have done a virus scan + also aol spyware...(it came up with 1 which I blocked).............scary stuff !

THERE IS A FOLLOW UP TROJAN VIRUS LOOSE PWSteal Tarno N .....down load now on a manual update ....or on live update on wednesday .....these viruses go in sequences ...they change one small bit of them .....and relaunch them....thats where the ID A,B,C,E,F,G ECT comes in. The new virus does the same thing as its predecessor.....If you do a live update once a week you will keep ahead of them with a bit of luck..... LYN

I find that AVG catches most of them, but there again you don't know about the ones that get through. Microsoft is full of holes, you just need to be cautious on what you download. I have my hard disc partitioned to c: d: and e: so that downloads to e: can be examined first, my data is on d: and programmes etc on c: . If I have to reformat then all my data is unaffected John

i have just had a virus on my comp and i had to have the whole comp completly wiped and everything put back on again, it cost me £50 and the chap who does my computer is very very good but even he didn't know what virus it was only that it was running happily away in the background and he thought maybe i got it through my windows automatic update! i have ad-aware, norton, spybot, spyware doctor and none of them got it

I have partly got rid of the PWSteal Tarnol Virus. It must have been in one of my E. Mails. I have Norton, Adaware, and Zone Alarm. This Virus gets your Password to bank accounts and is able to pass it on to someone who will get into your Bank accounts.And if you dont bank it really messes up your Computer. It appears i have to get someone to go into the registry to completly clear it. an experts job So be very Careful Joan
