Think you can only put a 'Trying to Find' message on the board if you have the name in your tree. I think I've seen people say you can add a make believe person to your tree, add the Trying to Find message, then delete the name from your tree, but I haven't tried doing this myself. Kath. x

Thankyou Helen will have ago. How do you get amessage on trying to find page, keeps saying go to names, but its not my name im looking for. Im a durr, but wont know unless i ask eh.

I don't think there are many Irish records online. You could try looking for him on 1901 census to see if he was in England then and if he gives his place of birth. Have a look at the Tracing Irish Roots section on the homepage - you may have to scroll down a way to find it.

Trying to find for a friend, Thomas Devanney, think he was born around 1885, died in Oldham Lancs in 1925, but origannaly from South Ireland, think Westmeath but not 100% sure. Any help would be appreciated. Philippa.
