On my nana's birth certificate (been doing family history for about 7 years) it says she was born at "18 Donegal Street Buildings", this was in 1908. What do you think this means? Does this mean that she was born at 18 Donegal Street? I think I've found the street where she was born, in Islington (registration district for cert is Holborn), and as I'm going to London tomorrow, if I have time I wanted to go and see where she was born. But I want to definitely get it right before I go.... making any sense?

Alternatively it could be a building within the street. Why not try putting a thread up asking if anyone knows the area? General board might be best as there's loads of peeps on there Jeanette x

Thanks Linda. So it might just be that she was born in a terrace (which I would have expected) and that it was number 18 of them? Thanks Jeanette. Will try that one.
