Maiden names are also given on children's birth certs and sometimes but by no means always in baptism registers. nell

If you live near the county records office then you can look through the parish records. I've been doing that and can copy down the info for free or if i get a printout it costs 50p. Downside is you need to know the church where your ancestor got married and registry office weddings won't be included Paula

i need to find maiden names of ancestors,do i have to buy marriage certs or is there another way,help please joy
