Maiden names are also given on children's birth certs and sometimes but by no means always in baptism registers. nell |

If you live near the county records office then you can look through the parish records. I've been doing that and can copy down the info for free or if i get a printout it costs 50p. Downside is you need to know the church where your ancestor got married and registry office weddings won't be included Paula |

i need to find maiden names of ancestors,do i have to buy marriage certs or is there another way,help please joy |
