You might find some useful info on this site: http://www.isle-of-wight-fhs.*co.uk (remove *) They have a local BMD online that's searchable. Christine

the isle of wight site is brilliant because they have searchable births from 1837-1891 with the mothers maiden name listed and deaths 1837-1871, also marriages 1837-19?? sorry cant remember but its about 1990 or something plus if you click on the page and volume number you can print out the order form and send a cheque if you want and its quite a fast service. jenny x
