Is that better? Bob

It's still being developed Debra so can only get better. The interface is very good I think. My main point was that the extra tools seem excellent, unfortunately we will have to wait for someone to be hijacked to see if they work! Bob

I downloaded sp2 last August and had loads of probs with it. I uninstalled it , 2 weeks ago decided to try it again..... I have no problems with it and everything is in working order. Last time it would not recognise my printer this time no such probs. regards Diane

AVG Update has been playing up for the last week or so, only once or twice has it updated straight away. I finally got today's - about 4.5Mb - a big one.

After all the discussions previously about SP2, about whether to install it or wait, any views if it is now OK to download. Pat

I have Windows ME and have installed Adaware and Spywareblaster on my computer, I had Spybot installed and was then told that Spybot installs spyware on your computer so I rapidly removed it.

Hubby installed Microsoft anti-spyware for me before christmas and it has been great. I don't know about the UK but I believe that over here in the USA if a company is caught sending spyware they can now be fined very heavily. Andrea

Hi, I have just downloaded and run a full scan.It found 6 that Webroot spysweeper had missed-I had only just swept it ,before downloading the microsoft one.I also had run Avg this morning and that hadn`t found anything. I am impressed so far......! Regards Diane

I just installed this Microsoft anti spyware and ran it alongside Ad Aware. Microsoft picked up one and Ad aware picked up six. What do you make of that. I'm on AOL and they have there own anti spyware. Its rubbish, it never picks up anything. Think I'll stick with Ad Aware Margaret

I am on win ME, I tried to download the MS antispyware but it told me it needed win 2000 or XP. Shame.

Avg is good but for some reason they can't solve the update problems (version 6 had it). I dumped it and now use Avast. You may not have heard of it but it's very popular on the computer forums. It only does "incremental" updates, ie only the bits it needs and not the whole thing. It is recognised by SP2 Bob

Bob, in passing, I have had some probs with updating AVG7, have you. It keeps saying cant connect check internet connection. I have tried manually updating it and get the same thing. Last night I reinstalled the program and it did update.

Have had a look at this for a few days and it found one item that AdAware and Spybot didn't More interesting are the tools that come with it like spyware and hijack prevention (like spywareguard), even better it has a home page re-setter that restores your homepage after hijacking without the need to edit the registry (scary). Worth a look. Only downside is if MS start to charge for it. http://www.microsoft.*com/athome/security/spyware/software/default.mspx Bob
