hi all, Does an absent parent (if the whereabouts is known), have to give consent to the addoption of a child (born within a marriage that ended in divorce) by the step parent. If so is there any where i can find this. Sounds confusing, but i know what i mean.!! Joan |

Thanks Julie, It is about 30years ago. Would it be the Court where the addoption was granted? If so is this on the addoption certificate? Thanks. Joan |

Joan I'm not sure about the court that dealt with it being on the adoption certificate. There's no court listed on mine and that's about a similar timescale to the one you're looking at Lou |
