Hi Natalie loads of my ancestors were born in India as my GGG grandfather was serving in the British Army. I am sure that I was able to get the certificate I needed through the GRO by quoting the full reference I found on 1837. Hope this helps Tinax PS Its not Rainford your looking for is it? |

Hello, I have been on 1837 online where I have found that some relatives of mine were born in India. They were English, it is under the Regimental birth indices from 1761-1924. I want to order certificates but I am not sure if this can be done through GRO. Does anybody know if it can? |
