Kew [ the National Archives ] hold all the old prison records, please don't phone any prison up as they do not have those records. Hope this helps. Chrissy.

I'd like to find out too.. one of my relatives is listed as being in jail in the 1881 Census!

Hi there Is there any way of checking if your ancestors have a criminal history? H
