Does anyone know how I can find out who was living at an address in 1916 please??

Hi Lindsay All of my rellies are in Scotland but I have no idea how to find out who was living at an address after 1901 as you can't check the 1911 census. Sorry I couldn't be more help but I didn't want you to think you were being ignored. I will keep a look out and let you know if I find anything. Good luck Lynne

Hi Lindsay, Find the local council website, look at the library / cultural type pages and hopefully you will find they have a public archive where you should be able to consult the Property Valuation Rolls which hopefully will list the address you are looking for. I dont know if they can do look-ups for you, but at least if you can find where the records are, yo can always phone and find out. Having the exact year and location should help. All the best Jane

an electoral register lookup of the address for that year, will give you everyone illegible to vote in the household. Local records office to the area should have these.
