Help! my great grandfather fought in the first world war and was killed, however I am unable to locate what regiment he went into and were he fought, does anyone know how I could get this information

If you access this site, the war graves commission, and put his name and any detail you do know of intot the search engine the chances are you will find him. www.*cwgc.org/cwgc*internet/sea*rch.aspx as per normal remove the asterics.
