Hi Andrea and Robert. Would either of you good people be kind enough to look up the birth of a John Postins born 1839, Wolverley, Worcs, age 32. I have him on the 1871 cenus, living in Belle Vue, Wordsley, also there is a John Postins age 56 also from Wolverley, living at the same address, could this be father and son, so If I can find out from your good selves where John junior was born it would be much appreciated. Thank you both in advance. The above info is from RG10/3025. Regards Tom and Joyce.

Thanks for that Christine, being a Lancashire Lass I don't really know where anywhere is south of Manchester! Helen

If it says "Hunts", then Buckden certainly exists - even now: it's on the A1. Henry VIII had a hunting lodge there. It's where you turn off for Graffham water if you're coming up from the south. Christine

Hi Andrea, Very many thanks for looking up for me, you have got further than I did. Don't think that he could be in Buxton though, as it definately says Hunts, on 1901 census Thanks again Helen

How kind.. Could I ask for the birth of Mary Ann Brook. On the 1861 census she is 9 so I think her birth would be in 1852 ( If my maths is right ! ) She was born in Suffolk in either Pakenham or Rougham so sould be registered in either Thingoe or Bury St Edmunds ( not 100% sure which )... Many Thanks for your kind offer Esta

Yes Please! My Great Grandfather Thomas Bruce, born approx. 1850 in Buckden (?) Hunts. I have got him on 1901 census living in Widnes Lancashire, but cannot find any Birth Mariage Death records for him. Think my family was brought here from a galaxy far, far away. Helen

I have several credits left that run out mid-February, so if anybody needs a look up and will be patient with me then let me know. Can't promise that I find the right thing but will give it a go. Andrea
